Delete your account
You can delete your Hungry Household account and its data at any time. There are two ways.
In the app
- Open Hungry Household
- Go to Settings
- Tap Delete account
- Read what will be removed, then type
DELETE MY ACCOUNTto confirm
It happens immediately.
By email
If you cannot get into the app, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with. We will delete the account within 30 days and confirm when it is done.
What gets deleted
Your account, and if you are the only adult on your household:
- Everyone in the household and their details
- Connected calendars and every event from them
- Your pantry, shopping list, recipes and meal plans
- Any allergy information you recorded
- Your sign-in history and saved sessions
If another parent shares your household, the household and its data stay with them — you are removed from it. The app tells you which of the two will happen before you confirm.
Photographs of your kitchen are not listed above because they were never stored in the first place — they are read once and never written down.
What is kept
A security log of significant events — sign-ins, permission changes, the deletion itself. These are kept deliberately and are not erased, because a log that can be deleted is not a security log. They hold identifiers and timestamps, not your family’s content.
