Who can use it

You must be 18 or older to create an account. Adults create the household; you may then add your own family members, including children, and choose whether each child gets their own login. If you give a child under 13 a login, we will ask you to confirm you are their parent or guardian first.

You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for the information you enter about other people in your household.

What this app is not

It does not place grocery orders. Hungry Household builds a shopping list and can hand it to a retailer’s own app or website as a cart. You review it and check out there. We are not a party to that purchase, we do not take payment for groceries, and we cannot fix a problem with an order — that is between you and the retailer.

It does not know what is in your kitchen. It makes an informed guess from what you tell it, what you photograph, and how long ago it last heard anything, and it shows you how confident it is. A guess is not an inventory. Check before you rely on it.

It is not medical or dietary advice. Recipes and meal plans are suggestions.

Allergies — read this one

You can record allergies and the app will exclude ingredients it knows are unsafe. It will also refuse to include any item whose ingredients it is unsure of, rather than guessing.

That is a helpful filter and nothing more. Always read the actual package before serving food to someone with an allergy. Product formulations change, a photo can be misread, and a shared kitchen can cross-contaminate. Do not treat this app as a safety check.

Your content

Your calendar, recipes, lists and family details are yours. You give us permission to store and process them only so the app can work for you. We do not sell them, we do not use them for advertising, and we do not use your photos to train AI models.

You can delete everything at any time — see hungryhousehold.com/delete-account.

Fair use

Please do not:

• use the app for anything illegal
• try to break into other households’ data
• scrape it, resell it, or run it against volumes no family would plausibly generate
• upload photos of other people without their agreement

We may suspend an account doing any of the above.

Availability and changes

The app is provided as-is. We try hard to keep it running and correct, but we do not promise it will be available at all times or free of errors. Features may change, and third-party connections — Google Calendar, Outlook, retailer carts — can change or be withdrawn by those companies without our agreement.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, PenSnap Software, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app — a missed appointment, a wrong shopping trip, a spoiled meal. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
